📍 There
We use there to say when or where something is, or that something exists or is happening:
- There are some dirty cups on the table.
- There is a party tomorrow.
- There is a problem.
- There was an accident.
Note: Use there the first time we mention something. For subsequent reference, use it or they:
- There are some cups on the table. But they are dirty.
- There was an accident. It was horrible.

We use it to refer back to something already mentioned, and to talk about times, dates, weather, and distance:
