📊 Comparative Adjectives – Rules & Examples
1️⃣ One-Syllable Adjectives: Add -er
Formation: adjective + -er
Examples: old → older, cheap → cheaper, high → higher
2️⃣ One-Syllable C–V–C: Double Consonant + -er
Formation: double final consonant, then add -er
Examples: hot → hotter, big → bigger, thin → thinner
3️⃣ Two-Syllable Adjectives Ending in -y
: Change y
